Brooklyn new room!

Well Brooklyn's room is now completed, so I thought I'd put some pictures up. Dustin was busy making the dresser/bookshelf and the vanity. My mom was out and helped hang some stuff on the walls. Brooklyn loves her new room and I love that the transition went well. Having her in the basement now is so different. She is getting to be such a big girl!!

A busy day....

After a pancake breakfast it was off to the gym for everyone, Brooklyn of course painted pictures and played at daycare, but none-the-less fun was had by all. Well, I take that back, I'm not convinced Dustin enjoyed himself! hehe!! Then it was off to Home Depot to buy paint for Brooklyn's new room. A very pale pink was agreed upon and it was back home for lunch and a day of home improvements. After taking down the border, washing the walls down, and cleaning out the closet the painting began. The deal was for Dustin to paint behind the door where he is going to build a built-in dresser, but I somehow conned him into painting the whole room. We have one small wall left, which is going to be a bright pink. (Pictures will be posted later!) So far so good, and I'm sure all of you who know me are wondering why I would paint a room pink, but I do have to say having a daughter brings out the feminine side in you!! All in all it was a great day, unfortunately very little laundry was done, and of course homework was put off, but this too shall get done!! Dustin is off to the Vikings/Cowboys play-off game tomorrow, so Brooklyn and I will have plenty of time to read about cells in the fabulous world of Pathophysiology!! She will be very intrigued I'm sure!!

Our very first blog....EVER!!

I never thought I'd enter the life of blogging! I've realized we live away from all our family, and a lot of our friends this may be a way to keep everyone up-to-date on our lives, besides the yearly Christmas card!! Not that anything is too life shattering here, but there is always something with school, Brooklyn, work, life, or the little one on the way!
